del.icio.us is an online service that combines the best features of referral systems, browser bookmarks, shared information, and descriptive tags. By creating public bookmarks on the del.icio.us site and tagging them appropriately, individuals and groups create a shared and cross-referenced record of topics of interest. In this talk we will examine the hows and whys of del.icio.us in order to gain a better understanding of its power, and discuss tools and practices to maximize its potential.
