Description:

Understanding how learning networks function has become an essential component of a broad range of educational applications, including designing effective learning-at-a-distance alternatives, developing productive interdisciplinary ties, and creating working research teams. This intensive seminar is designed to provide educators and administrators alike with the necessary knowledge to pursue such applications systematically and fruitfully. The topics to be discussed have been selected with an eye to their immediate application, and are presented together with the theory that grounds them. In addition to the schedule outlined below, this seminar also includes an individual followup session with each participant to discuss the application of its content to projects within their institution.

Day 1 - Background and Theory

Day 2 - Putting the Theory to Work
